This is the second recipe in my monthly recipe challenge. I am excited to present to you.. Drum roll please… Apple cinnamon chips.
If you are unfamiliar with my monthly recipe challenge, it is where I cook at least one recipe that I have never cooked before a month. For the month of March I choose to do plantain chip and cinnamon apple chips. Since both of these are fairly easy I decided to do two. I think from now on though I will choose recipes that are more seasonal. Apples are not in season in March. lol.
I’ve actually experimented with foods this past month other than the two recipes I said I was going to do. I cooked asparagus for the first time. I also make some yummy no bake energy bits, though the recipe was a bit misleading. I’ve been trying to eat healthier. So I’m very proud of myself in making these strides toward a healthier lifestyle.
So I actually didn’t end up liking these, but my mom did. This is what happens when you experiment with food. Sometimes you’ll like it other times you won’t. My mom thinks that my son will like these. When he gets a little older I’ll cook it for him and see if he likes it. Until then unless my mom wants some more I won’t be cooking them again. Lastly if you don’t like the smell of apple cinnamon don’t cook this. The whole house will have this smell. Lucky for me it’s one of my favorite fragrances.
Would you/ did you try this recipe? Let me know in the comments. Have any suggestions of recipes I should try? I’d love to hear them.
